Listening. Speaking up. Showing up for our community.
Seeing how decisions affecting our community are made firsthand led me to bring my voice, questions and perspective to Council.
Stratford is home. It’s where I live, volunteer, work, and raise my family. I’m running for City Council to be a voice for everyday people and to help build a community where thoughtful growth, strong services, transparency, and our environment all matter.

I’m Amy Brodhagen (she/her), and Stratford has been home for over 30 years.
I’m a mother, a wife, a longtime volunteer, a community advocate, a local published poet, and a proud ally. I’m also a bereaved mother, an experience that has shaped me deeply and taught me the importance of compassion, resilience, and speaking up when something matters.
Nature is an important part of my life. I love gardening, creating spaces for pollinators, and simply spending time outside. Protecting the environment is something I care about both personally and in our community. I’m also passionate about creativity. Poetry has been both a meaningful outlet for me and a way to connect with Stratford’s arts community. And, for a little fun, I used to play roller derby when Stratford had teams!
